Visa and Mastercard requirements
Visa and Mastercard have set a minimum standard requirement for accepting credit cards on the Internet. In order to avoid a significant delay in the settlement of your funds, you need to ensure that the following minimum items are in place when you setup your venue store.
In order to help you through this process, we’ve detailed out some information about each requirement and our suggested actions.
It should be pointed out that you have control to modify the look of your venue store. This includes header elements, footer elements, HTML, images, etc. Most of the requirements can be handled by adding links to the design of your venue store. If you need help with this please let us know and we’ll be glad to help.
1) Refund/Cancellation Policy should be listed on the website
We have basic terms and policies listed on our website regarding the client’s responsibilities and the terms agreed upon when establishing an account but we recommend that you provide specific terms and cancellation policies on your website. You should then provide links to these policies on your venue store through the customization options. If you need help doing this please submit a support ticket and we’ll be glad to help. Here is a link to our general terms of service:
Our Terms and Conditions (You also agree to terms and conditions when accessing your account online)
2) Privacy Policy should be listed on the website
Again, you should provide a link to your own privacy policy on your website from your venue store. Here is a link to our standard privacy policy:
3) Terms and Conditions
Again, we suggest that your terms and conditions be listed prominently on your own website and then you may link to them from your venue store in the footer part of the interface. Please ask us if you need help doing this.
4) Your products and corresponding pricing listed
Your events, event description and pricing will be listed when the patron enters your venue store and selects their tickets. You may also opt to list this information on your own site as well.
5) 128-bit SSL is required at the point where the patron enters their credit card information
We integrate with your gateway account directly and our system is designed to send the user over to the gateway site at the point where they enter their credit card information. So this requirement is fulfilled by the gateway/processor (Authorize.net, Paypal, etc.)
6) Telephone customer service number should be listed
This number should obviously be listed on your website. You should also opt to include this number in the footer of your venue store design so the number can be easily found.
7) Shipping and handling method and shipping delivery time after the sale.
Shipping and handling does not apply to the majority of tickets sold through our system unless you opt to print and mail physical tickets. The customer will select their method of delivery. If the option to mail tickets is available the customer will have the option to choose from the available delivery options listed. If you plan on mailing tickets please include any relevant information on your website so the customer knows when to expect their tickets.
